Thousands of migrant workers thronged Anand Vihar Bus Terminal and railway station in the national capital on Monday as fear and anxiety grew after Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal announced a week-long lockdown.
The migrants fear once again losing their jobs and being left to fend themselves. Anand Vihar bus terminal saw a chaotic scene with people scrambling to take the first bus out or board a train.

Basically person is wise but he can shed sanity in order to curse the situation. When it is clear that in a small size GDP country government is absolutely of no help to give cash. Poor are expected to work because earlier their children in the previous generation had no profound income. Without work if money is paid it would be inflationary because production would not be meeting the demand. It is not like US where production of consumable is very very high but consumption is low and hence inflation below 2 percent. New Delhi [India], April 20 (ANI) Delhi Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal on Tuesday appealed to the migrant workers to not leave the city and assured them of assistance from the government to take care of their needs while lockdown is in effect.
According to the sources, DelhiLt Governor is deeply concerned about reports and visuals of migrant workers at stations and bus stands, to leave Delhi.
He also met Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Chief Secretary to take stock of the situation and instructed Delhi government to take every possible step to stem reverse migration.
