By Kristin May 19, 2021 Every Tuesday is a Taste Test Tuesday at B101 with Kristin & Steve! We love to sample new products. This week we tried out the new limited edition Key Lime Pie Kit Kat! This new flavor made it s debut in Japan a few years ago, and it s finally made it s way over here to the United States. We ve tried the Apple Pie Kit Kat and the Kit Kat Mocha which are both really good so we were excited for this one. There s definitely some vanilla flavor going on with a hint of lime.but not overly limey. And the wafer center tastes like graham cracker. All in all a pretty tasty candy bar! We give it two thumbs up! Remember, this new flavor is only available for a short time, so hurry and try it out before it s gone forever! Check out our video! Thanks for watching!

  LONDON, ONT. With the new COVID-19 regulations, some may want to revert to happier times by reading a familiar book, watching an old show on TV, while others may look to food for comfort. Finding that popular candy from their childhood may just hit the sweet spot. Andrew Ariganello and Nikita Ariganello, owners of the Sweet Life Candy & Pop Shop in London do just that. Andrew worked in management for a major grocery chain for over 10 years in the Toronto area, and Nikita was working two jobs, while in University; we decided we wanted to start something together, where we could bring our expertise and experience in one place and bring unique and fun candy and treats to London!

I have always been fascinated by food. Smells, textures, and of course, tastes. I would consider myself a lifelong foodie! My relationship with food changed after reading the acclaimed novel “Fast Food Nation” for AP English in high school. I quickly began to care less about how my food tasted, and more about what my food was made of and where it came from. The horrors that were revealed about the fast-food industry in the novel moved me to become increasingly interested in nutrition. That following summer, I participated in a high school agricultural apprenticeship program at North Carolina A&T State University. Upon the completion of the program, I decided I would continue my education and study Food Science and Nutrition at the institution that introduced to me to the subject, North Carolina A&T.
