Bluegrass and BBQ: Live musical performances by bluegrass musicians Trinity River Band and Pasture Prime, as well as local artisans, will be featured as part of the Tuscawilla Art Park Series at the Tuscawilla Art Park, 223 NE Fifth St., Ocala, Jan. 22 from 6-9 p.m. Cash bar and BBQ from Big Lee’s Serious about BBQ food truck will be onsite. Elvis: Era of a King: This fundraiser concert for Habitat for Humanity will be held 6:15-9 p.m. Jan. 22 at the Circle Square Cultural Center, 8395 SW 80th St., Ocala. Elvis tribute artist Cote Deonath spotlights all four eras of Elvis. Special appearance from Buddy Holly and Ed Sullivan starring George Trullinger. Dan McCarthy’s Florida: Explored: Jan. 15 is the last day to see this free exhibit at the city of Ocala Recreation and Parks Administration, 828 NE Eighth Ave. Florida: Explored is an exhibit of select pieces created during (McCarthy s) exploration of a hidden gem in Marion County: Indian Lake State Forest, the city said in a news release. Open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
“I Hate Hamlet”: Live onstage at the Ocala Civic Theatre through Feb. 7. This comedy is set in New York City and centers around an actor who is cast as Hamlet, much to his chagrin. Stitch into winter
The Sandhill Crane Chapter of the Embroiderers Guild of America (EGA) will meet from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 6, at the Faith Presbyterian Church, 200 Mount Fair Ave., Brooksville.
The monthly program will be Lovely Hearts, from an article in the August 2020 Needle Arts magazine. Also, we will start the GCC English Summer.
All are welcome. Masks are required. No lunch or drinks at this time.
