APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) As a surge in COVID-19 cases continues, the city of Appleton is recommending people be vaccinated and wear masks in public indoor settings.
The recommendation follows the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s guidelines issued last week. The CDC urges anyone in an area where the virus is spreading to wear a mask in public indoor settings, regardless of vaccination status.
Masks will continue to be required for Valley Transit drivers and riders as part of a federal mandate. Masks will also be used in indoor public settings in city facilities.
