(CNSNews.com) - A cynic might say the continuing show of force in Washington, D.C., has a political basis, Sen. John Kennedy told Fox News Tuesday night. I ll have some things to account for on judgment day, but one of them will not be being ungrateful for our National Guard and all law enforcement officials. God bless them, Kennedy said:

For the past three weeks, a group of Trump supporters and QAnon believers met online, swapped theories and eagerly awaited the conspiracy’s violent climax. I was listening in. This is what they sounded like. Story with audio. Click to unmute. “We have to trust that there’s going to be military tribunals and we’ll get to watch all kinds of executions.” “They’re guilty. Treason. Behead ’em all.” “Bring in the firing squad.” By Stuart A. Thompson Mr. Thompson is a writer and editor for Opinion. Jan. 26, 2021
1545 As President Biden’s inauguration ticked closer, some of Donald Trump’s supporters were feeling gleeful. Mr. Trump was on the cusp of declaring martial law, they believed. Updated 5:14 PM ET, Mon January 25, 2021 (CNN)More than 5,000 National Guard troops will remain in Washington through mid-March to provide security amid concerns over potential unrest in the coming weeks, acting Secretary of the Army John Whitley said in a press briefing on Monday.
There are currently 15,000 troops in the city with the numbers due to be reduced to 7,000 by the end of the week and 5,600 by mid-March, according to National Guard Bureau Chief Gen. Daniel Hokanson.
Five hundred members will support the US Park Police and 550 members will support the Metropolitan Police Department over the next two weeks. Another 5,000 will continue supporting Capitol Police and 600 will support the US Secret Service through mid-March, Whitley said.
A dark foreboding has descended over D.C. as the administration implies that National guardsmen may have to turn against their fellow Americans, some warn.
Or is it just the act of a fearful, arrogant elitist Administration only interested in saving their own hides as they are hell bent of putting the final nail in the coffin for Trump? Maybe, but not likely as this Administration is aware that best way to control human subjects is through oppression and fear.
