The criminals fled when APBn members rushed to the spot, the commanding officer said.
Later, the law enforcers recovered the bullet-hit body of Hakim and sent it to the morgue of Cox s Bazar Sadar Hospital for autopsy.
The injured were admitted to different clinics, the APBn official said.
Police are conducting drives to arrest the criminals, he added.

Members of Armed Police Battalion (APBn) rescued a volunteer of Cyclone Preparedness Programme (CPP) of Bangladesh Red Crescent Society early today, 10 hours after he was abducted from a Cox s Bazar Rohingya refugee camp.
Hossain Ali (45) was abducted allegedly by some Rohingya criminals around 3:00pm yesterday while he was on duty at block A/1 in Shafiullah Kata Rohingya camp in Ukhia upazila, said CPP Cox s Bazar Deputy Director Hafiz Ahmad.
He was also tortured by the abductors and now he is undergoing treatment at Cox s Bazar District Sadar Hospital, he said.

DHAKA, Dec 13, 2020 (BSS) âRetired army major Sinha Md Rashed Khan was killed in a preplanned way, Director of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) Media and Legal Wing Lieutenant Colonel Ashique Billah said at a press briefing in the capital this noon.
âThe Sinha murder probe revealed that prime accused suspended officer-in-charge (OC) of Teknaf Police Station Pradeep Kumar Das was involved in the killing to cover up his (Pradeep) different felonies, including yaba peddling and other illegal activities in his Coxâs Bazar jurisdiction,â he said, adding that RAB pressed charges against 15 people, including Pradeep in the case.
