Rohingyas trying to enter Bangladesh again, BGB tightens patrol
Attempt to trespassing on Bangladesh through Cox’s Bazar frontier has increased following the military coup in neighbouring Myanmar.
It is learnt that 104 Rohingyas were sent back during March-April this year when they tried to enter Bangladesh.
During the two months of January and February this year, 29 Rohingyas tried to enter Bangladesh. Besides, 31 Rohingyas took shelter at Cox’s Bazar refugee camps entering through Cox’s Bazar from Myanmar, the Armed Police Battalion (APBn) has admitted.
APBn officials said attempts to trespassing on Bangladesh by Myanmar citizens have increased threefold in the second two months compared to the first two months of the year.

Dhaka, April 13 : Additional police have been deployed, while light machine gun posts were also installed following an order by the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) following a militant attack threat, a top official said on Tuesday.
They also found a co-passenger of the child s mother.

The mother married a man after going to the gulf state and had the child, co-passenger Asma told officials.
But she and her husband separated after a few days. She came to Bangladesh around 2:00am in a flight of Saudi Airlines. The mother thought her family in Bangladesh will not accept the child, Asma quoted the woman as saying.
APBn members are trying to identify the woman from CCTV footages, the ASP said adding that if the child cannot be returned to her mother, they will take help of Ministry of Expatriates Welfare and Overseas Employment or Brac NGO to rehabilitate the child.

With 2,080 pieces of Yaba stashed in his stomach, Golam Mostafa Mandal landed at Dhaka s Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport from Cox s bazar this afternoon.
He attempted to sneak out through VIP Terminal around 1:00pm to dodge the eyes of law enforcers but Armed Police Battalion (APBn) challenged him, suspecting his movement.
Mostafa initially denied having any contraband items with him but an X-ray later confirmed the yaba in his stomach.
