In a brief statement Saturday from state Health Department commissioner Dr. Howard Zucker, investigators are looking into reports that Parcare Community Health Network, with locations in Brooklyn, Orange County and Manhattan, “may have fraudulently obtained [the] COVID-19 vaccine [and] transferred it to facilities in other parts of the state.” The alleged diversion by Parcare Community Health Network violates the state s plan to administer [the vaccine] first to frontline healthcare workers, as well as nursing home residents and staffers, Zucker said.

A statement released Saturday by state Health Commissioner Dr. Howard Zucker says ParCare Community Health Network may have fraudulently obtained [the] COVID-19 vaccine, transferred it to facilities in other parts of the state in violation of state guidelines and diverted it to members of the public.

Soccer club organizes drive for food bank City SC, a soccer club with 3,900 competitive players throughout Carlsbad, recently organized a club-wide food drive before Thanksgiving to benefit the San Diego Food Bank. In just two days, the nonprofit club was able to collect just over 1,000 pounds of nonperishable food items for donation. The food drive was organized by the club’s Girls Academy Advisory Panel, which has community outreach as one of its goals.
