Ten new charges filed on Kade Davis

As Kade Davis remains in the Jasper County Jail, deputies filed ten new criminal charges against him on Thursday. Davis, who is 23 and from Lumberton, is accused of slamming head-on into a car driven by Laurie Beth Seehusen, 58, of Vidor, as he was fleeing from Jasper County deputies in a pickup truck that was stolen from the Golden Triangle. Seehusen died in the crash, which occurred on Thursday, July 15th, just north of Vidor. Davis was originally charged with one count of Evading Arrest or Detention with a Motor Vehicle, and his bond was originally set at $150,000.00. His bond is now up to $315,000.00.

By City News Service Photo: Getty Images NEWPORT BEACH (CNS) - An Orange County Fire Authority employee who was charged with shooting his 4-year-old pit bull and dumping the canine s carcass in a trash bin at his workplace in Irvine accepted a plea today that ordered him to perform 250 hours of community service. Ryan John Monteleone of Menifee, 45, pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor count of putting a carcass of dead animal on the road. As part of the plea deal, a felony count of cruelty to animals was dismissed. Monteleone worked as a heavy fire equipment operator for the fire authority for four years and was not a firefighter, Colleen Windsor, a spokeswoman for the OCFA, said when he was charged in November 2019.

California cold case murder suspect arrested, extradited from Mexico

Police obtained a warrant for the suspect and he was taken into custody in Mexico last October. Now he’s been returned to the U.S., according to authorities. On June 27, 1996, at 1:05 p.m., Santa Ana Police officers responded to the 500 block of S. Spruce Street regarding a call of unknown trouble after a roommate found a resident dead in the restroom from apparent stab wounds, Santa Ana police said in a press statement. The Orange County Coroner’s Division conducted their investigation and identified the victim as Julio Franco, 24, of Santa Ana.
