World War II and its Aftermath in Europe seminar
World War II and its Aftermath in Europe is a Ridgefield Continuing Education history seminar led by veteran history teacher, Nancy Maxwell, talks about the terms of the Treaty of Versailles that ended World War I, to the political appeasement of the 1930s, financial crises, social upheavals, and rise of fascism and communism. This course will: examine the causes of World War II; provide an overview of the war itself; and review the decisions of the peacemakers after Germany surrendered in 1945. STAMFORD In Stamford schools, Asian and white students are much more likely to take an Advanced Placement or honors course than Black and Hispanic students.
That’s a common story across the country, and Stamford is no exception.
About 55 percent of Asian students and 41 percent of white students in Stamford high schools Westhill High School, Stamford High School and the Academy of Information Technology and Engineering are enrolled in at least one AP, Early College Experience or International Baccalaureate course this year.
