She was admitted to Liverpool Hospital and tested for COVID-19 on Friday, with a positive test being returned early yesterday morning. She passed away hours later. A NSW teenager is in hospital fighting for life after being diagnosed with COVID-19. Jack MahonyDigital Reporter July 11, 2021 - 12:38PM NSW announced 77 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, including 52 patients in hospital.  The state s Chief Health Officer Dr Kerry Chant said 52 active COVID cases were in hospital: 15 of those in intensive care, five of whom are ventilated. Dr Chant said the state could not “afford to have complacency” as numerous people under the age of 55 remained in hospital. Currently, 52 patients are in hospital. 11 people are under 35. Of the 15 in intensive care, one is a teenager, one is in their 20s, one in their 30s, three in their 50s, five in their 60s, two in their 70s and one aged in their 80s.
