Victoria has found an additional locally acquired COVID-19 case, hours after announcing eight new community infections on its first day out of lockdown.
Health Minister Martin Foley confirmed the traffic controller at the Moonee Valley racecourse drive-through testing centre worked at least two days while infectious.
The site has closed and staff has been sent home to isolate as a precaution. We do believe there will be minimal risk, Mr Foley told reporters on Wednesday.
The traffic controller was not a primary close contact of a previous case and has not been linked to Victoria s current outbreaks.

Victoria recorded 11 locally acquired COVID-19 cases on Sunday, bringing the total number of active cases to 179.
All 11 cases are linked to a current outbreak and have been in quarantine during their infectious period.
Victoria has extended its lockdown until at least midnight July 27 in a bid to control its current Delta outbreak.
Chief Health Officer Brett Sutton says Victoria is on track to ease restrictions as planned but cases would need to be really minimal and hopefully zero for the lockdown to end.
Daniel Andrews will make Victorians wait another day to find out when the state s fifth lockdown will end, as 11 more cases were recorded.
The Victorian premier told reporters on Sunday morning that health experts will have to look at the number of new infections on Monday before they decide whether restrictions will be eased on Tuesday, as planned. Hopefully we could be in a position to ease some of these restrictions and rules from midnight on Tuesday, but we need to see what tomorrow s numbers look like, he said.
He also described the highly-contagious Indian Delta variant as a wholly new enemy that was harder to battle and needed extra caution.
