As many as 22 countries have requested India for Covid-19 vaccine of which 15 have already been provided the vaccines, Health Minister Harsh Vardhan told the Lok Sabha on Friday.
Work is in progress for development of seven more vaccines of which three are in the third phase of clinical trial, the minister told the House during the Question Hour amid disruptions by Opposition MPs on three farm laws.
The 22 nations that have approached India for Covid-19 vaccine include Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Nepal, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, South Africa and UAE. Supply has already been made to 15 nations as grant assistance and contract doses, said the Health Minister.

NEW DELHI, Feb. 5 (Xinhua) India s federal health ministry said Friday that 7,580 cases of adverse reactions had been observed following COVID-19 vaccination by Jan. 31.
The information was given by federal Health Minister Harsh Vardhan in the lower house of the Indian parliament, locally called Lok Sabha. The minister said Adverse Event Following Immunization (AEFI) are monitored through a well-structured and robust AEFI surveillance system. A total of 7,580 AEFIs i.e., 0.2 percent cases have been reported out of total number vaccinated till 31st January 2021 under COVID-19 vaccination roll-out across the country, Vardhan said.

Lok Sabha proceedings were a virtual washout today as relentless protest by Opposition members against the Centre s three farm laws continued for the fourth consecutive day, even as signs emerged that normal functioning could resume from Monday.
The government has always been ready for discussion and we are hopeful that Lok Sabha will function smoothly from Monday, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi said.
On February 3, Locket Chatterjee of the BJP had initiated the discussion on the Motion of Thanks but she could not complete her speech due to disruptions. She has not yet resumed her speech.
The third phase of vaccination against the coronavirus is likely to commence in March and will cover 27 crore people aged 50 years and above and those with co-morbidities, Health Minister Harsh Vardhan said in Lok Sabha on Friday.
