Mohali: In a bid to promote livelihood, Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Saturday virtually kicked off a state-wide pro-poor scheme for Allotment of 7,219 Fair Price Shops (FPS) under his government’s flagship ‘Ghar Ghar Rozgar te Karobaar Mission’.
As a token gesture, the Chief Minister handed over allotment letters to five beneficiaries - Jatinder Pal Singh, Poonam, Jaswinder Singh, Vivek Sharma and Sukhdev Singh, all from Roopnagar. The event was marked by simultaneous distribution of 370 allotment letters to the beneficiaries in 64 Municipal Committees by various Ministers, MLAs and other dignitaries across the state, in the first phase of the scheme.

Chandigarh: The Captain Amarinder Singh led Punjab Government is all ready to roll out most awaited corona vaccination programme under which firstly, Health Care Workers (Central, State & Armed Forces Medical Services) to be vaccinated with their consent at dedicated 59 sites in the State.
The Health Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu stated that Covid-19 vaccination is being launched on 16th January 2021 and the first batch of vaccine doses have already been distributed to all District Cold Chain Stores. Orientation on the use of these vaccines has also been conducted.

Chandigarh: Captain Amarinder Singh led Punjab Government is fully geared up for vaccination of Health Care Workers (HCWs) at 110 sites on January 16. A total of 20,450 vials today received as each vial has 10 doses of vaccines which is to be given to the beneficiary in two doses 28 days apart.
Disclosing this, the Health Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu said that after a long wait, first batch of corona vaccine namely Covishield received by the EPI Officer of Health & Family Welfare Department, Punjab from Chandigarh Airport. He said that this Covishield vaccine was developed by Oxford University with AstraZeneca and now it is being manufactured in India by Serum Institute. Data of Phase III trials
