Israel starts vaccinating 16,000 people a day beginning with senior citizens and those at risk as massive campaign gets underway to inoculate the entire country and defeat the pandemic.

Israelis by the tens of thousands swamped call centers trying to make appointments to get a coronavirus vaccine as Israel launched the largest vaccination program in the country’s history.
In the first day of the campaign on Sunday it is estimated that some 10,000 medical staff members were vaccinated against the coronavirus, and on Monday health maintenance organizations (HMOs) started inoculating those aged 60 and over and at-risk populations.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu got vaccinated for the COVID-19 virus on a live television broadcast Saturday evening.
Netanyahu and Health Minister Yuli Edelstein received the shot at Sheba Medical Center in Tel Aviv.
Netanyahu was the first Israeli to receive the vaccine, hours before a major roll-out of the vaccinations was to begin in the country.

JERUSALEM - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu received a COVID-19 vaccine jab on Saturday, kicking off a national rollout over the coming days.
Netanyahu and Israel s health minister were injected with the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine live on TV at Sheba Medical Center in Ramat Gan, near Tel Aviv. I asked to be vaccinated first, together with Health Minister Yuli Edelstein, to serve as personal examples and encourage you to be vaccinated, Netanyahu told the television audience.

Tel Aviv: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Saturday became the first Israeli to receive the coronavirus vaccine, kick-starting the vaccination process in the country.
Prime Minister Netanyahu hailed the start of the vaccination process in the country as the very great day for Israel.
Speaking at Sheba Medical Center in Ramat Gan, where he became the first Israeli to receive the vaccine, he pledged that millions of doses will arrive by the end of the month and urged all Israelis to be vaccinated.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu received a Covid-19 vaccine jab on Saturday, kicking off a national rollout over the coming days.
The massive vaccination campaign, said to be the biggest in Israel s history and titled Give a Shoulder, will not include millions of Palestinians living under Israeli control despite a recent spike in cases and deaths stemming from the virus.
