Amarillo Lyft And Uber Offering Free Rides For COVID-19 Vaccines
The COVID-19 vaccine has arrived in Amarillo, but some have no way to get to the vaccination locations. That just changed. Uber and Lyft are partnering with businesses in Amarillo and pharmacies to offer free rides to vaccination sites.
In an effort to provide more vaccines to communities of color and to address vaccine skepticism, Uber said this week it has partnered with retail pharmacy chain Walgreens to offer free transportation to its locations and offsite vaccination clinic.
“Transportation should never be a barrier to health care,” Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi said in a statement. “We look forward to building on this exciting new partnership with Walgreens, harnessing the power of the Uber platform to help connect more people with vaccines, as we all work together to help end this pandemic.

Well, I finally went to the Washington State Phase Finder tool to find out if I was eligible to get a Covid shot. They say no radio boy, not just yet! He s out now and doing well, but he was one of those that really didn t believe it could be all that serious. His mind has changed as the doctors told him that if he had not started to improve within a few more days, he may have died.
If you were scheduled to get a COVID vaccine this Saturday at CHRISTUS St. Michael Health System. They have made the decision to postpone the COVID-19 Vaccination Hub scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 20, 2021, due to lingering inclement weather conditions. After a firestorm of opposition and push back, Gov. Inslee s supported bill that would replace county health districts with regional entities has been altered. Why?
The original plan laid out by Inslee during his series of budget goal press conferences contained a plan he did not discuss in publicly:
dissolving or doing away with county health districts including county health boards.
Under his original plan, for example, the Benton Franklin County Health District and the controlling county health board made up of the six B-F Commissioners
would be gone.
Inslee wants to see the state divided into 9 regions, which is bringing out a lot of opposition even some from Democrats.
