Kids Can Bowl For Free at Nob Hill Lanes This Summer
As the official start of Summer is just a little less than two weeks away (June 21), kids are getting out of school for the year and the cries of, I m bored! and There s nothing to do! won t be far behind.
Enter Nob Hill Bowling Center who are doing all of us parents with young ones a solid by offering a summer of FREE bowling for kids ages 2 -15!
The program has already started as of June 1st but will continue through August 22nd and Nob Hill Bowl & Casino located at 3807 West Nob Hill Boulevard in Yakima.
In case you missed it, the 17 year cicadas you learned about in school are supposed to return this summer.
I personally have yet to see any, but I ve seen videos of people hearing the sound of cicadas around Rockford. Now that s its finally really hot out, I think they re going to start to emerge from the ground.

The cook book titled Cicada-licious was created by some University of Maryland Cicadamaniacs. It s filled with recipes from cicada stir fry, to cicada tacos, and even Cicada-Rhubarb Pie if you re more of a sweets lover.
