Walmart hosts COVID-19 vaccination event

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) â Walmart is holding a drive-thru vaccine clinic at its Nashville location on Charlotte Pike beginning Feb. 25.
Anyone eligible to receive the vaccine can make an appointment here. Insurance is not required and the vaccine is free.
The vaccination event is happening through the U.S. Federal Retail Pharmacy Program. The event is expected to take place over the next several weeks as allocation allows.
âWe have two goals as we administer vaccines: first, to get as many shots in eligible arms as possible so we can start the process of reopening our country, and second, ensuring equitable vaccine access across the communities we serve,â Executive Vice President Health & Wellness Dr. Cheryl Pegus said in a press release. âWe will continue finding new ways to increase vaccination access for our customers as we work towards the eventual end of the pandemi
According to the CDC, anyone 65 and older, people aged 16-64-years-old with underlying medical conditions and essential workers are now eligible to receive the shot.
