Major League Baseball and the Major League Baseball Players Association jointly announced today the latest COVID-19 testing results conducted under MLB’s COVID-19 Health Monitoring & Testing Plan. The independent Utah laboratory has reported the following results during the past week:
Weekly Monitoring Testing: 12,494 tests conducted, with 4 new positive tests (1 Major League player, 1 Alternate Site player and 2 staff members); a 0.03% positive rate.
Total Monitoring Testing To Date: 99,599 tests conducted, with 25 total positive tests (17 players, 8 staff members); a 0.03% positive rate. Fourteen (14) different Clubs have had a Covered Individual test positive during Monitoring Testing.
Total Testing (Monitoring + Intake Testing): 105,633 tests conducted, with 43 total positive tests (30 players, 13 staff members); a 0.04% positive rate. Twenty (20) different Clubs have had a Covered Individual test positive since the start o

On Friday, Major League Baseball (MLB) and the Players Association (MLBPA) jointly announced the latest COVID-19 testing results conducted under MLB’s COVID-19 Health Monitoring & Testing Plan.
According to a press release, the independent Utah laboratory has reported 14,704 tests were conducted during the past week, with two new positive tests (both players); a 0.01% positive rate.
Since MLB began its monitoring testing, 43,928 tests have been conducted, with 12 total positive tests (nine players, three staff members) on nine different clubs; a 0.03% positive rate.
