Also, she said, she forwarded to the county health department a Facebook ad Portogallo’s posted in which they said they would be offering karaoke and free alcohol the night before Thanksgiving in defiance of the governor’s orders closing bars and restaurants at 5 p.m. to try to mitigate covid-19.

Vaccine doses are headed to four Chester County hospitals and distribution will begin this week. (Shutterstock)
CHESTER COUNTY, PA Four Chester County hospitals are on the list to receive and distribute doses of Pfizer s COVID-19 vaccine this week.
Pennsylvania Health Secretary Rachel Levine announced on Monday that Pennsylvania would receive 97,500 vaccine doses this week to be distributed at 83 hospitals across the state.
In Chester County, vaccine doses will go to Chester County Hospital-Penn Medicine in West Chester, Brandywine Hospital, Jennersville Hospital in West Grove, and Phoenixville Hospital, all Tower Health hospitals.

. HARRISBURG State Rep. Jim Rigby and his wife, Kathleen, considered themselves lucky when they said final goodbyes to her 89-year-old mother through a six-inch crack in a nursing home window. Laura Oherrick was diagnosed with COVID-19 at the end of November at an assisted living facility in Bedford County. She died Dec. 5. “Fortunately, because my brother-in-law is a nurse-practitioner, he was able to gown up, go in, and open her window enough that we could talk through the screen,” said Rigby, a Republican lawmaker from Cambria County. “If she’d been on the third floor, that wouldn’t have happened.”

WYNNEWOOD, PA The first coronavirus vaccine is in Pennsylvania, and local healthcare facilities are the first to get doses of the vaccine.
The Food and Drug Administration last week approved Pfizer s coronavirus vaccine, and Pennsylvania is getting about 97,000 doses this week.
Main Line Health s facility in Wynnewood is among the hospitals to get the vaccine.
