Telangana: Vaccinated healthcare worker dies; officials say death not due to Covid-19 vaccine

Telangana third case of its kind a few days after taking Covid-19 vaccine, though
health authorities maintained the fatality was not due to vaccination.
The 55-year-old woman from Mancherial district was given the vaccine dose at the
primary health centre in Kasipet on January 19, but complained of shortness of breath and giddiness only on January 29, officials said on Sunday.
According to Director of Public Health Dr G Srinivas Rao, she was admitted to Medilife Hospital at Mancherial. She was shifted to Nizam s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIM) Hyderabad on January 30, where she succumbed at about 11 pm.

Death indicative of underlying morbidities and not due to COVID-19 vaccination, says Director of Public Health.
A 55-year-old female Healthcare Worker (HCW), who received COVID-19 vaccine in Macherial on January 19, has died on Saturday night after complaining of shortness of breath, giddiness. The State’s Director of Public Health G. Srinivasa Rao said that ‘the cause of death is clearly indicative of underlying morbidities and not due to COVID vaccination’.
According to the state, approximately 57% of the 470,000 Hoosiers over the age of 70, or 262,000 Hoosiers, had been vaccinated or scheduled their appointment.
