Ireland received and administered a batch of the AstraZeneca vaccine that was suspended in Austria after being linked to blood clots and one death. The batch was administered in Ireland at the end of February. One million doses of the batch were sent to 17 different countries. So far there have been no severe adverse effects reported to those who received the jab in Ireland. It comes as the Danish Government today suspended the use of all AstraZeneca vaccines for two weeks after blood clots formed in several people who received the jab and one person reportedly died. PUBLIC HEALTH OFFICIALS this evening confirmed a further 592 cases of Covid-19 and 10 additional deaths in Ireland.
