US Coast Guard transfers smugglers and over US$6.6 m in seized cocaine in Caribbean Sea Wednesday, March 17, 2021
SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AFP) The United States Coast Guard has transferred custody of three suspected smugglers and an estimated US$6.6 million in seized cocaine to US federal agents at Coast Guard Base San Juan, following the interdiction of a drug smuggling vessel in the Mona Passage, near Mona Island, Puerto Rico, in the Caribbean Sea.
The US Coast Guard said on Tuesday that the suspected smugglers are males, Dominican Republic nationals, who now face criminal charges by US Department of Justice prosecution partners in the US Attorney s Office for the District of Puerto Rico.

DENVER – The U.S. Attorney s Office for the District of Colorado announced the arrest of seven additional defendants in an on-going investigation involving the distribution of methamphetamine and heroin on the Western Slope. The following defendants were arrested and made their initial appearance in federal court in Denver and Grand Junction this week:

These indiiduals were charged in a superseding indictment, which brought allegations against these defendants in addition to thirteen others previously charged in December of 2019.

A dual U.S.-Mexican citizen pleaded guilty today to willfully engaging in financial dealings with Mexican companies that had been identified as Specially Designated Narcotics Traffickers by the U.S. Department of the Treasury, Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).
According to court documents, Jessica Johanna Oseguera Gonzalez, 34, of Guadalajara, Mexico, violated the criminal penalties of the Foreign Narcotics Kingpin Designation Act (the Kingpin Act) by engaging in property transactions with six Mexican businesses that OFAC previously designated to be “specially designated narcotics traffickers.” These six businesses were so designated because they provided material support to the Mexican drug trafficking organization known as the Cartel Jalisco Nueva Generacion (CJNG), which was itself designated by OFAC in

MARSHALL, Texas – Two Harrison County men were sentenced to prison Friday for federal drug trafficking and firearms crimes.
Armando Ivan De La Torre, a.k.a. “Poncho,” pleaded guilty on Oct. 6, 2020, to possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and use and carrying of a firearm during a drug trafficking crime. De La Torre was sentenced to 15 years and 10 months in federal prison today by U.S. District Judge Rodney Gilstrap.
