A man from Lonoke, who was released from the Arkansas Department of Corrections’ Varner Supermax facility in Gould Monday, was arrested upon his release by Baxter County Sheriff’s Deputies on charges from nearly five years ago. Thirty-one-year-old Mac Ryan Chitwood, who has a lengthy criminal record in the state, is also wanted on charges in Sharp and White counties. He just finished serving over four and a half years of a ten year sentence from Izard and Sharp counties for commercial burglary, battery, breaking and entering, theft of property and criminal mischief. It was his second time in the state prison system.
A Mountain Home man who has had a number of run ins with law enforcement over the past 10 years and served time in the Arkansas Department of Corrections is behind bars again, this time facing a whopping 66 felony charges. Thirty-eight-year-old James Patrick Lally has been arrested in connection with the theft of a large number of catalytic converters over the last five weeks.
According to the probable cause affidavit in the case from the Mountain Home Police Department, officers took the first report of the theft of catalytic converters March 12. By April 6, Mountain Home Police report a total of 32 converters had been reported stolen.

POINSETT COUNTY, Ark. (KAIT) - A Poinsett County man who claimed a young girl âcoerced himâ into performing sexual acts on her will spend nearly 10 years in prison.
On April 12, Circuit Judge Cindy Thyer sentenced 25-year-old Paden McDougle to 120 months in the Arkansas Department of Corrections with 346 days jail credit after he pleaded no contest to second-degree sexual assault.

An Arkansas woman bludgeoned her elderly grandmother to death with a hammer because she believed God wanted her to make a sacrifice or she’d go to hell, according to prosecutors.
Andrea Wilson, 28, pleaded guilty Monday to first-degree murder, aggravated assault and battery in the death of her 81-year-old grandmother Ruby Ross, who was found dead in her Pea Ridge home on May 16, 2018, according to the Arkansas Democrat Gazette.
