Small Works on Paper Exhibition — KFFB 106 1 FM — Arkansas Radio — Online Radio–Arkansas Politics–Local News

The Batesville Area Arts Council is pleased to present the 2021 Small Works on Paper, an annual touring visual arts exhibition coordinated by the Arkansas Arts Council, a division of the Department of Arkansas Heritage, which showcases the work of Arkansas artists. The exhibition will be on display at the BAAC Gallery on Main, 226 E Main St, February 2 – 27, 2021. Gallery hours are Tuesday – Friday 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.  “We are excited to be able to recognize the wonderful and diverse talent of visual artists throughout Arkansas,” said Stacy Hurst, secretary for the Arkansas Department of Parks, Heritage and Tourism. “Small Works on Paper showcases artists from every corner of our state and gives art lovers the opportunity to discover emerging artists and experience one-of-a-kind artworks they may otherwise never see.”

Razorbacks Sign Amendment With War Memorial Stadium

Kevin Trainor February 3, 2021 FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Arkansas has signed an amendment to an existing agreement with the Arkansas Department of Parks, Heritage and Tourism to bring two additional Razorback football games to Central Arkansas in future seasons and extend the overall agreement through the 2025 season. Future seasons will see War Memorial Stadium play home to in-state matchups with UAPB in 2021 (October 23, 2021) and 2024 (August 31, 2024) and Arkansas State in 2025 (September 6, 2025). Arkansas will also play Western Carolina (September 2, 2023) at War Memorial Stadium in the 2023 season. As part of the amendment, previously scheduled games against Missouri will be moved to Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium on the University of Arkansas campus in Fayetteville.

Nominations were received from all 75 counties, and a total 2,014 nominations came in, a record for this program, Hurst said. Winners will be announced on Feb. 22 in the first ever virtual Arkansas Food Hall of Fame event. “It’s important we recognize the fact that the past year was particularly hard for everyone in the hospitality industry, including restaurant workers and those who work so hard to create events for the general public to attend. We feel compelled to celebrate them even more this year for their perseverance and dedication,” Hurst said.
