It s a case that caught national attention for decades, the West Memphis Three.  Attorneys said evidence recently needed for DNA testing is missing.  Patrick Benca, one of Damien Echols s attorneys, said he fears missing this evidence will never prove innocence for the West Memphis Three. It s a case that started in 1993 when three young children were murdered, but 28 years later, Benca said the fight to solve this case continues despite this most recent snag.

Officer-involved shooting investigation underway after Grant Co. man killed outside UAMS © Provided by KATV Little Rock/Pine Bluff A Grant County man died Monday after an officer-involved shooting at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, state police reported.   Officers approached Bobby Hollingshead, 59, of Sheridan, around 12:40 p.m. after he exited a truck near the emergency entrance, according to the release. Hollingshead was reportedly holding a gun and directed officers to stay away.  State police reported that as Hollingshead raised the gun, an officer fired his weapon. Hollingshead was then taken inside the hospital for medical treatment, but he later died. Hollingshead’s body was then taken to the Arkansas State Crime lab where the manner and cause of death will be determined.
