WELL AN EVENT WAS HELD AT THE NEW ORLEANS MUSEUM OF ART EARLIER TODAY TO DENOUNCE HATE CRIMES TOWARD ASIAN AMERICANS AND HOW WE AS A COMMUNITY CAN SUPPORT THEM IN FIGHTING AGAINST THESE SORT OF CRIMES OUR REPORTER SHAY O’CONNORS WHO JOINS US LIVE FROM CITY PARK WITH THE LATEST ON THAT TONIGHT. SHE SO WITH THIS RIGHT NOW THAT PEACEFUL DEMONSTRATION TOOK PLACE A LITTLE EARLIER RIGHT HERE AT NOMA. LOTS OF PEOPLE CAME OUT TO SUPPORT THE CALLS MEANWHILE, LOTS OF PEOPLE THAT I’VE SPOKEN WITH. THEY TELL ME THAT THEY’RE CONSTANTLY LIVING IN FEAR THAT THEY MIGHT BECOME THE NEXT VICTIM OF THIS TYPE

The New Orleans Chinese Association is holding a peaceful demonstration this Sunday to denounce crimes against Asian Americans.
The rally will be held Sunday, April 4th, at 3:30 in front of the New Orleans Museum of Art.
