IPNO also strives to support clients, like Frank, to live well and fully in the world after their release. Orleans Parish DA To Temporarily Quit Prosecuting Small Drug Charges

Apr 14, 2021 The Orleans Parish District Attorney is taking a break from prosecuting small drug charges. On Tuesday, Jason Williams office said that it is temporarily refusing to prosecute charges of possessing small amounts of all drugs except heroin and fentanyl. The refusal comes as Williams office works to clear a backlog of cases stemming from the coronavirus pandemic and the courthouse shutdown.
