HEMET, CA Two Hemet attorneys have been arrested and charged with multiple felonies following an investigation by the Riverside County District Attorney s Office that alleges the men scammed an elderly woman and bilked a children s hospital.
Trent Wayne Thompson, 44, and Quinton Ray Swanson, 49, were taken into custody Wednesday morning in Hemet by investigators with the DA s Bureau of Investigation.
According to a Friday morning news release from the DA s office, in May 2019 Thompson drafted a living trust for a 95-year-old woman, designating himself as the trust protector meaning he could appoint and manage a successor trustee if his client became incapacitated or died.

MURRIETA, CA A 21-year-old woman suspected of furnishing fentanyl to a man in Murrieta who subsequently had to be revived with Narcan after he took the alleged narcotic is in jail waiting to see what formal charges might be filed against her.
Ezabella Avila of Riverside was arrested Monday night and booked on suspicion of possession of drugs for sale, and furnishing narcotics resulting in great bodily injury the latter of which could see an additional three to six years in prison if the charge is filed and she s convicted.

CORONA, CA An Arizona citizen watch group that works to snare sexual predators helped lead authorities to a Corona man who allegedly attempted to lure a 15-year-old girl, according to the Riverside County Sheriff s Department.
Steven Rawley, 35, was arrested by investigators at 10:45 a.m. Feb. 2 at his apartment on Ridgeline Drive in Corona on suspicion of unlawful sex with a minor, lewd and lascivious acts with a child, and lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14, jail records show.
Rawley was released from Riverside s Robert Presley Detention Center the following day on $75,000 bail. He has not been charged yet, the Riverside County District Attorney s Office confirmed Thursday.

MORENO VALLEY, CA A duo suspected of robbing Southern Californians of their French bulldogs were arrested this week by Moreno Valley deputies, the Riverside County Sheriff s Department reported.
Joshua Reneau, 29, and Serenity Gershon, 20, both from Hawthorne, were taken into custody Wednesday on suspicion of second-degree robbery and conspiracy to commit a crime, jail records show.
Both were taken into custody in Hawthorne. They were released from Riverside s Robert Presley Detention Center Thursday in lieu of $30,000 bail each, according to jail records.

Around 9:21 p.m. Monday, deputies out of the Moreno Valley Sheriff s Station were called to the 11000 block of Ohio Street in Moreno Valley about a robbery at gunpoint.
