The Terrace and District Chamber of Commerce hosted a virtual meeting with B.C.’s Finance Minister Selina Robinson.
The meeting was held regarding the upcoming budget 2021/22. The upcoming budget will be focused on the recovery from the Covid-19 pandemics and the ongoing challenges. Some of the things that we’ll see in the budget include, $4 billion in new funding over 3 years, which includes $3.1 billion to improve the quality of health and mental health care for people.
There will be 1.9 billion over three years to deliver services including education and transportation, free transit for youth aged 12 and under, affordable housing and expanding the universal child care prototype program.
