The Alberta government is preparing to make changes to boost police focus on hate crimes in the province, Premier Jason Kenney said Tuesday.
Speaking in the legislature after MLAs set aside the afternoon’s scheduled business to debate a motion denouncing the hatred of Islam late into the evening, the premier said Justice Minister Kaycee Madu will have an announcement in the coming days.
