LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - The Metropolitan Special Crimes Unit is investigating a murder that occurred shortly after 8:30 p.m. Feb. 25 in the 300 block of Avenue T.
Lubbock Police Officers responded to a shots fired call and found the victim, 25-year-old Yajaira Lizette Monsivais, with a life-threatening gunshot wound. Monsivais was transported by EMS to University Medical Center where she was pronounced deceased. Gabriel Lee Mendoza was located at a house in the 200 block of Avenue U. (Source: KCBD NewsChannel 11)

Lubbock apartment, while the body of the woman’s ex-boyfriend was found hours later according to reports.
Molly Beckman of
Midlothian was found dead after officers responded to a request for a welfare check at around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday at the
Ashton Pointe Apartments in Lubbock.
She had been stabbed repeatedly, police said.
The Lubbock Police Department received a call requesting a welfare check to the Ashton Pointe Apartments. Officers arrived on scene shortly before 9:30 p.m. and located 23-year-old Molly Beckman deceased with multiple stab wounds.
