At any given time of the day, multiple scrap collectors can be seen walking through the protest sites looking for plastic bottles. With the protest sites at both Tikri and Singhu borders located close to slum settlements, and with large quantities of plastic waste being generated at both places, scrap collectors from nearby slums are an occupied lot.

Five passengers travelling on Air India’s London-Delhi flight tested positive for Covid-19 on arrival Tuesday, a day after the Ministry of Civil Aviation announced mandatory testing of all passengers coming from the United Kingdom due to the emergence of the new strain of Covid-19.

Around 10 am, the roof of a factory in Vishnu Garden’s Khyala collapsed, trapping six labourers who were working inside. Four of them were dead by the time they were taken to the hospital. The factory owner, Mahendra Pal, a resident of Uttam Nagar, has been arrested, confirmed police.
A PCR call was received around 10 am regarding the falling of lanter and labourers being trapped. “Police reached the spot and found it to be an old factory of motor stamping work.
