29 cases over 4 days in Boyd

The list consists of cases from Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. The most recent cases involve 16 females, ranging from 10 to 60 years old, and 13 males, ranging in age from 6 to 68. Each of these patients is in home isolation. There have been 4,867 cases involving Boyd County residents, including 87 this month. The health department has recorded 3,096 recoveries and 74 COVID-positive deaths. The Greenup County Health Department issued a release on Thursday, which showed 12 new cases on Wednesday and Thursday. Eight males, ages 11 to 57, and four females, ages 25 to 77, have tested positive. It announced three more cases on Friday.

5 new cases in Greenup

The Greenup County Health Department listed five new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday’s report. Four females, ages 11, 29, 31 and 49, and a 20-year-old male tested positive. The county’s case tally stands at 3,676, including 3,541 recoveries and 59 COVID-positive deaths. The Ashland-Boyd County Health Department reported 16 new cases, including cases from Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Three — a 32-year-old female, a 34-year-old male and a 75-year-old male — are in hospital isolation. There have been 4,838 cases involving Boyd County residents, including 3,085 recoveries and 74 COVID-positive deaths. The Carter County Health Department announced one additional case of the coronavirus, pushing the county’s count to 2,238 — 2,184 have recovered and 33 have died after having tested positive.

Thursday’s release consisted of cases tallied over the last two days. Seven females, ages 18, 25, 41, 44, 56, 66 and 77, and four males, ages 15, 18, 59 and 60, tested positive. There have been 3,652 confirmed cases involving Greenup County residents, including 3,514 recoveries and 58 COVID-positive deaths. Carter County’s health department announced two more cases on Thursday, pushing the count to 2,229 — 2,180 have recovered and 33 Carter County residents have died after having tested positive. The Lawrence County (Ky.) Health Department listed seven cases on Thursday’s report, which included cases from the past four days. It announced another COVID-positive death, the county’s 28th.
