CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Christina Elizabeth Smith is no stranger to being on stage, but after a year of shutdowns, this Clarksville native is eager to get back under the lights.
She is starring in one of the first shows set to return to a New York City theater post-pandemic: a revival of the 1984 David Rabe play “Hurlyburly.”

Meet Christina
Smith was born and raised in Clarksville. Her father was a little bird pilot with the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment headquartered at Fort Campbell.
CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The Middle College at Austin Peay State University held its 13th commencement Tuesday, May 25, at APSU’s Dunn Center. The Class of 2021 featured 60 students who received diplomas.
As the student’s names were announced, each walked across the stage, paused for a graduation photo, and then moved their tassels from the right side of their caps to the left. They were joined by their families outside the Dunn Center for more congratulations and photos. Cost: Anyone who wants to attend the camps can sign up at a steep discount. The first half of campers who sign up will get a 90% discount off the normal $99 price. All other campers will get a 60% discount. The discount codes are on the coding camp website.
Registration Deadline: June 22
Details: Austin Peay State University’s popular summer coding camps. There will be 10 camps – including the popular “Make Your Own Website” and “Make Your Own Video Games” camps. All camps are half-day and Monday-Friday.
