Auckland, NZ. TradeWindow, the New Zealand-headquartered digital trade ‘super-connector’ has welcomed strategically aligned investor Quayside Holdings Ltd to its investor family in an over-subscribed capital raise, with NZ$6.4 million of convertible notes issued, against an initial $5 million target.
ASB Bank led the latest capital round, backed by a significant investment from Tauranga-based institutional investor, Quayside Holdings Ltd. Quayside Holdings is a 54.1% owner of the Port of Tauranga, which owns half shares in Northport, Port of Timaru, the new inland port at Ruakura and logistics company Coda – providing a strong connection into the nation’s freight and logistics infrastructure.

The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) today released its labour force report for November, which registered a 0.2% fall in the official unemployment rate to 6.8% of a 0.7% increase in jobs:
Full-time jobs surged by 84,200 and part-time employment rose by 5,800:
The participation rate rose another 0.32% to 66.10%:
Total employment has rebounded 6.1% from its May low, and remains only 1.1% below its February peak:
Full-time employment has rebounded 2.5% from its June low, but remains 1.8% below the February peak.
By contrast, part-time employment has rebounded 15.1% from its May low and is now 0.4% above its February peak:
Despite the faster-than-expected labour market recovery, Frydenberg announced the jobseeker coronavirus supplement will be extended to March.
He also signalled the government will not aim to pay back debt until unemployment is “comfortably below” 6%, which he suggested was back in the range of 5.25% to 5.5%.
1. Jobseeker supplement among $7.7bn of new spending
The Myefo contains $3.2bn to extend the $150 fortnightly jobseeker coronavirus supplement to 31 March.
Frydenberg said the government will “continue to monitor” the labour market, declining to say whether the supplement could be further extended to prevent jobseeker returning to the old rate of $40 a day.
