EAST LANSING, MI – Michigan State University is resuming its COVID-19 vaccination clinic for students, faculty and staff on Tuesday.
Appointments are not needed for the May 4 clinic, which is located at the north side of the Pavilion for Agriculture and Livestock Education, university officials said. However, appointments can be scheduled for the Ingham County vaccination drive-thru clinic, which is also at the Pavilion, said Vennie Gore, interim vice president for student affairs and services.
Vaccinating Michigan teens and young adults will be key to lifting pandemic limits and reaching herd immunity. Health officials are scrambling to make COVID vaccines available to high school students, who are getting shots at far lower rates.
EAST LANSING Michigan State University is offering walk-in Pfizer vaccines to students and staff Thursday and Friday.
A surplus of vaccine doses led the university to begin offering walk-in shots to people without appointments Wednesday, Deputy Spokesman Dan Olsen confirmed. We had available appointments left today, tomorrow and Friday, said Olsen. To reduce having additional appointment barriers, we allowed for people to walk up and get a vaccine. We want to make sure that someone who wants access to a safe and effective COVID-19 vaccine has it.
The walk-in clinic is located at the north end of the MSU Pavilion 4301 Farm Lane, Lansing from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday and Friday Friday. Parking is available nearby and CATA s bus route 32 passes by the clinic.
