(Neil Blake | MLive.com) Facebook Share KALAMAZOO, MI Western Michigan University Cooley Law School’s next community conversation will be a discussion on sexual assault with Ingham County Circuit Court Judge Rosemarie Aquilina. The virtual public event, “Recognizing Sexual Assault And Take Action,” will take place at noon Wednesday, April 14. The judge, a Cooley Law School graduate and adjunct professor, will share the signs of sexual assault and how individuals can recognize if they or someone they know are a victim, according to a press release from the law school. The judge will also explain steps for getting help if one has been the victim of assault, the release said.

LANSING  Larry Nassar has requested leave to appeal his case to the Michigan Supreme Court, again arguing his Ingham County case should be resentenced in front of a different judge.  Nassar has repeatedly accused Ingham County Circuit Court Judge Rosemarie Aquilina of bias since she sentenced him to 40-175 years in prison on seven sexual assault charges in 2018.
