Officers from Suffolk police were called to the town shortly after 1.45pm on Wednesday, June 9, after receiving reports a man had been assaulted outside the former Debenhams store in Westgate Street. Paramedics were seen treating the man for his injuries at the scene. His injuries are not understood to be life-threatening or life-changing. A spokeswoman for Suffolk police said a cordon will remain in place outside the store while an investigation into the circumstances takes place.

The emergency services responded to a fire at a property in Clarkfield in Mill End at around 4.30pm (Sunday June 6). Hertfordshire Fire & Rescue sent at least five crews to the scene and reported that they rescued one person. They were later taken to hospital by the East of England Ambulance Service. Live A41 updates after traffic brought to a standstill between Berkhamsted and Tring There are around five miles of queuing traffic Motorists are facing delays on the A41 this morning after traffic was brought to a standstill. An incident was first reported at around 7.30am this morning on the northbound carriageway (Saturday, June 5). The incident has been reported between Berkhamsted and Tring and will affect traffic travelling between Aylesbury and Buckinghamshire. It s not clear what has caused the incident, although reports on social media suggest that at least five emergency service vehicles have passed to respond. There is around five miles of queuing traffic on the dual carriageway.
