Heat Stroke Warning Issued for Fukuoka Today
The Fukuoka District Meteorological Observatory and the Ministry of the Environment have issued a heat stroke alert and are urging people to take further measures against heat stroke. The alert urges people to avoid going outside as much as possible, to keep cool indoors by using air conditioners, and to take measures such as assigning a doctor or nurse to exercise, or to do so in a cool room. The maximum daytime temperature is expected to be 36 degrees in Fukuoka City, 35 degrees in Yahatanishi-ku, Kitakyushu City, 34 degrees in Iizuka City, and 37 degrees in Kurume City.

Fukuoka: ‘Snack’ bar accused of employing 16-year-old girl

FUKUOKA (TR) – Fukuoka Prefectural Police have busted a speciality hostess club in Iizuka City over the alleged employment of a minor last year, reports Fuji News Network (Mar. 8).
Last May, Takumi Honda allegedly employed a girl, then 16, at the “snack” bar he manages. Police further allege that the establishment was operating without a proper licenses between April and July.
Police seized several dresses, high-heeled shoes and bottles of alcohol during a search of the bar.

Uber Eats Expands To Every Prefecture in Kyushu
Uber Eats announced their service would become available in all prefectures within Kyushu. As of Mar. 4, the food delivery service begins in the prefectures of Saga and Yamaguchi. It will also begin operation in Iizuka City of Fukuoka on Mar. 11. Expanded service areas were announced for other regions, including Kitakyushu City (some parts of Kokurakita Ward, Tobata Ward, Yahatahigashi Ward Yahatanishi Ward Nakama City), Fukuoka City (Higashi Ward, Nishi Ward, Shingu Town, and Itoshima City), and Kumamoto City, too.
