Lakehead University researchers have been awarded $25,000 from Bell Let's Talk to examine how COVID-19 has impacted students' physical activity behaviour and mental health. The grant is part of $3 million going to dozens of post-secondary institutions across Canada.

THUNDER BAY Another major Northwestern Ontario employer is giving an incentive to its workers for receiving the COVID-19 vaccination.
Each employee at Impala Canada s Lac des Iles palladium mine gets a $100 gift card.
Essential workers who can t work from home became eligible to be vaccinated under the provincial rollout.
To date, 540 mineworkers have received their first dose.
Impala said it collaborated with the Thunder Bay District Health Unit on a plan for its staff which included a dedicated Thunder Bay-based clinic as well as a clinic hosted at the mine over two days.
Maunula is the executive director of the Thunder Bay-based LCC.
On Monday the organization unveiled a new logo and slogan – Caring Services for Everyone – in conjunction with the announcement of the opening of its third location in the city.
It s on Victoria Avenue in the south core, and is aimed at providing supports for vulnerable young adults, in particular Indigenous people.
Maunula said that under a new marketing strategy, LCC is focusing more on community care with a broader outreach.
It aims to educate the public about the wide range of social and developmental services it offers to people of all faiths, cultures and backgrounds through its various locations.
