Hello, Kenora, I’m very excited to introduce myself as a multimedia journalist for the
Miner and News. With its history dating back well over a century, I feel both honoured and lucky to contribute to this great newspaper’s legacy. In telling Kenora’s stories, I promise to do my best to inform, excite and inspire you, and maybe even make you laugh from time to time.
As a kid, I used to help deliver copies of the
Miner and News to folks on Park Street, which, come to think of it, may very well have been my first job. Either way, I was born and raised here. In fact, if you’re reading this I’m willing to bet that you’ve probably tried some of my Aunt (or “Chocha,” considering my family is Ukrainian) Kelly’s pierogis and cabbage rolls, or maybe even some of my Grandma (Baba) Rose’s before her.
