THUNDER BAY – The Thunder Bay District Health Unit announced 10 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 Sunday, reporting new daily case counts in the double digits for the fourth consecutive day.
That left the number of active cases in the district at 103, an increase of 2 from Saturday.
All 10 cases involve individuals in Thunder Bay and the surrounding areas, which includes Oliver Paipoonge, Neebing, Gillies, Shuniah, Conmee, O Connor, and some unorganized territories

GERALDTON, Ont. – A COVID-19 outbreak at the John Owen Evans long-term care home in Geraldton has been declared over, two weeks after a staff member first tested positive.
No additional staff or residents tested positive in the 14 days since that staff member worked their last shift, allowing the Thunder Bay District Health Unit to declare it over, according to provincial guidelines.
That result was confirmed through follow-up surveillance testing of residents and staff, the health unit said in a release Friday.

The Thunder Bay District Health Unit announced 10 new cases of COVID-19 Saturday.
THUNDER BAY - The Thunder Bay District Health Unit announced 10 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 Saturday, while the number of active cases in the district fell from 109 to 101.
All 10 cases announced Saturday were in Thunder Bay and the surrounding areas, which includes Oliver Paipoonge, Neebing, Gillies, Shuniah, Conmee, O Connor, and some unorganized territories.
Two cases were associated with an ongoing outbreak at Southbridge Roseview long-term care home, following surveillance testing conducted on Wednesday.
