Additional COVID-19 vaccination clinics to be held in Thunder Bay during June

A number of new COVID-19 vaccination clinics will be made available in Thunder Bay over the next few weeks.
The Thunder Bay District Health Unit on Monday announced youth and family clinics, as well as neighbourhood-based clinics, will be established during June.
THUNDER BAY The Thunder Bay District Health Unit reported three new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday morning.
With three previous cases having been resolved, the case count in the district remained at 54, the same as on Monday.
The health unit said one of the new cases resulted from close contact, while the source of the other two is under investigation.
Two of the cases are in the City of Thunder Bay or immediate surrounding area, and one is in a district First Nation community.
The active case count remains unchanged at 54 within the Thunder Bay District Health Unit. Officials report three new cases of coronavirus on Tuesday .
THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay’s vaccination rates dipped last week, but only slightly.
The Thunder Bay District Health Unit on Monday announced 8,445 vaccines were administered in the district last week, 2,514 fewer than the week prior.
However, the district did cross a significant milestone in the week ending on May 29, crossing the 100,000-dose threshold. A total of 104,078 doses have been given out, including 87,563 first doses. Of the total population, 53.8 per cent have had a first dose. Of those 18 and older, 64.3 per cent have had their first shot, while of those 12 and older and eligible to get a vaccine, 61 per cent have been vaccinated.
