FINANCIAL support offered to businesses closed as a result of ‘circuit-breaker’ attempts to reduce a surge in Covid rates are not enough, five of the Island’s largest hospitality groups have said in an open letter to the Chief Minister.

Luxury Jersey Hotels, Liberation Group, Randalls, JPRestaurants and Dolan Hotels have said the Island needs to ‘protect the people employed in our industry and give the industry a fighting chance to rebuild when this crisis ends’.
In a strongly worded letter to Chief Minister John Le Fondré, industry representatives have said the closure of hospitality businesses will cost tens of millions of pounds during their ‘busiest month’.
