With the holidays upon us, the Strathroy-Caradoc Fire Department and myFM News are joining up for the 12 Days of Fire and CO Safety tips. Today is our final day, day #12 and Fire Chief, Brian George talks about responsible drinking.
George adds even people drinking can be a fire hazard due to having impaired judgment while cooking or smoking within the home and leaving for example cooking on the stove unattended. That concludes our 12 Days of Fire and CO Safety Tips, have a safe and happy holiday season.

Today marks day #8 and Fire Chief, Brian George talks about maybe not going with real candles this year.
George adds candle wax could be a fire hazard because it is a Parafin product which is flammable as well and could be dangerous if not cleaned up properly. Monday we will continue with Day 9 of our 12 Days of Fire and CO Safety Tips.

Time now for our 12 days of Fire and CO Safety Tips. The Strathroy-Caradoc Fire Department and myFM are providing you with a new tip each day leading up to Christmas weekend. Today marks day #4 and Fire Chief, Brian George says today’s tip is about CO Alarms.
George adds when it says sleeping area, that means an alarm should be in the hallway for your upstairs bedrooms and in addition if you have a basement bedroom you should also have a CO alarm outside those rooms as well.
