Soup kitchen van serving up help to people in Musselburgh area

A SOUP kitchen van is now serving Musselburgh, helping people who are finding times tough during the Covid-19 pandemic. Run by hospitality food service provider BaxterStorey’s Chef Shack, and based outside Musselburgh East Community Learning Centre on Haddington Road, it provides free hot soup to individuals and families from the Musselburgh area. The soup kitchen is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11am to 2pm. Meanwhile, Musselburgh Area Partnership is funding initiatives to support people in the community, working with East Lothian Council’s Connected Communities service. Pamela Martin, community development worker, said: “With lockdown in the county, we aim to provide additional support to individuals and families.”

TD Awards $2 8 Million to 6 U S Organizations Addressing the Impacts of COVID-19 on Vulnerable Communities
