WAYNESBORO, Va. (WVIR) - Authorities say a Waynesboro man wanted on child pornography charges has been arrested in Missouri.
The Waynesboro Police Department announced Monday, February 1, that 41-year-old Mark Henry Hopper is in the process of being extradited back to Virginia for legal proceedings.
WPD says it received a complaint last month from the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force that a computer user in the city limits was uploading and downloading child pornography.

IDAHO FALLS Authorities arrested a Blackfoot man on probation after he had an alleged romantic relationship with a 14-year-old girl over Snapchat.
Andrew Ray Young, 33, is charged with five felony counts of possession of sexually exploitive material of a child and felony delivery of a controlled substance. According to an affidavit of probable cause, in December, the victim’s mother contacted the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office after discovering nude photographs were allegedly being exchanged.
In an interview with detectives, the victim said over the past year, she and Young had been communicating over Snapchat. Young developed a romantic relationship with the victim and a friendship with her mother. The victim and Young reportedly sent back and forth nude photographs.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas A former Incarnate Word Academy teacher is in federal prison for the next 36 months after admitting he sent obscene photos and text messages to who he thought was a 14-year-old girl in Corpus Christi.
28-year-old Lazaro Benito Rocha plead guilty for this crime in October 2020. Back in May 2019, he was arrested by the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force who teamed up with other organizations for an online solicitation operation. Previously released on bond, Rocha was taken into custody following the sentencing.
During the court hearing, it was revealed that he was the one who sent the text messages and photos and also took photos of himself while he was inside his classroom.
