OVER 150 TECHS AND SUPPORTERS PICKET AT ST. CHARLES Medical Technology Staff rally in force at the region’s largest hospital.
BEND, Ore. On January 31st and February 1st, well over 150 people came together to walk the picket line in front of St. Charles Medical Center. A unit of technical employees, including Respiratory Therapists, Radiation Therapists, X-Ray Technologists, and other health professionals, led the picket, raising their voices about the experiences they have faced at the hospital.
“We had a great turnout and all the community support is amazing. I think we will definitely keep up the pressure,” says Frank Dewolf, a Cardiac Electrophysiology Technologist at St. Charles. “I think we showed over the past two days that we are a well organized group and we are all on board to fight for a fair contract.”
