Indianapolis man arrested after Saturday shooting in Far Eastside
They preliminarily charged a 49-year-old man with battery with a deadly weapon and criminal recklessness.
On Saturday, officers responded to a person shot near the intersection of East 21st Street and Mitthoeffer Road. Officers later found the victim at Community East Hospital in stable condition. Police did not share the name of the victim.
Detectives were able to identify the suspect from witness accounts, police said.
The Marion County Prosecutors Office will review the case and determine a final charging decision.
